Shoulder joint is made up of clavicle, upper end of humerus, glenoid cavity
Elbow joint is made up of lower end of humus and upper end of radius and ulna
Wrist joints are made up of lower radius,ulna and carpal bones and proximal part of metacarpal bones
Step 2: patient is gaining momentum to throw the ball and executing the throwing arc
During initiation and execjtion of throw
There is flexion at shoulder jt
Extension at elbow jt
Pronation of forearm from a semipronated status
Flexion at wrist joint
Taut shoulder and chest muscles and triceps
At the end of complete throw (step 3)
shoulder is flexed and adducted
elbow fully extended
wrist flexed
forearm and hand in pronated position
metacarpophalangeal joints are extended
pectoral muscles sternocleidomastoid and neck muscles are contracted
steps 4 to 6 are occuring in reverse order
hence all the movements are occuring in reverse order at various joints while the patient is catching it back
