1) a) The superficialpartof the skin is known as epidermis. The outermost layer of the epidermis is made up of dead skin cells which is devoid of nerves and blood vessels. Therefore, while removing the outermost layer of the epidermis, we will not feel the pain and also there will not be any bleeding.
b) The layer of skin present below the epidermis is known as dermis. It is richly supplied with blood vessels and nerves. Injury to dermis will cause severe pain and also will result in bleeding.
