1. Organ ;- It refers to collections of tissue with similar function. for example Liver, kidney etc.
2. Integument :- It is the natural covering of an organism or an organ , such as skin, husk , shell etc.
3. Appendages :- Skin appendages are skin associated structures that serves a particular function including sensation, contractility, lubrication and heat loss. In human , some of more common skin appendages are hairs.
4. Keratinocytes :- A keratinocyte is the predominant cell type in the epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, constituting 90% of the cells found there.
5. Melanocytes :- Melanocytes are the cells that are located in the bottom layer of the eye, the inner ear, vaginal epithelium, meninges, bones and heart.
6. Langerhan's cells :- These are the dendritic cells of the skin and mucosa , and contain organelles called Birbeck granules. They are present in all layers of epidermis and most prominent in Stratum spinosum.
7. Merkel cell :- Merkel cells are found in the top layer of the skin. These cells are very close to the nerve ending that recieves the sensation of touch.
