Explanation / Answer

- Efferent arteriole

- Afferent arteriole

- Interlobular artery

- interlobular vein

- Vasa recta

- Glomerulus

- Peritubular capillaries

- Bowman's capsule

- PCT

- DCT

- Loop of Henle (Nephron loop)

- Terminal collecting duct (Not present in labels; only 11 are present)

Blood is filtered at Bowman's capsule and is passed into PCT. From PCT, nlood goes into descending loop of henle. From here, to the ascending loop of henle and further into the DCT. From the DCT blood goes into collecting ducts. All the collecting ducts merge to form larger ducts- all of which ultimately combine and open into ureters from where urine is carried to bladder and stored.

These wide variety of structures are required for concentrating urine and reabsorption of required substances. Also, some useless substances which can not be filtered are thrown into tubules, to be excreted out of the body.
