Explanation / Answer

Parkinson's mainly affects Basal Ganglia. In basal ganglia it affects Dopaminergic neurons in Substantia Nigra and destroy them thus their number decrease. This is responsible for typical symptoms seen in Parkinson's disease. As the patients had similar complaints so most probably their Basal Ganglia was affected.
