Brain games continue to increase in popularity, especially mobile applications. You may have seen the advertisements for these apps, or perhaps you may have even tried them yourself. There are dozens of different companies claiming that their mobile applications can improve your brain’s function.
Do these brain games work? Can games on your mobile device actually improve mental acuity or prevent memory loss? What does the research say about these types of games and activities?
Are there better techniques, methods, or even dietary supplements that could assist with improving brain function and memory? Are brain function and memory determined by genetics or can they be influenced by our environment and experiences?

Playing brain games or getting something from brain games depends upon what you want to achieve. If you play for 10 minutes and it will give you pleasure and mental stability then it is good .If you are dedicating more time playing these brain games thinking that this will improve brain health then unfortunately this is wrong. Brain games does not improve core cognitive functions .
Many researches has been done on brain games which claim that there is less evidence of improvement of brain health by these brain games so this is all hype .
Brain games does not make us smarter .there is little or no evidence that brain games make us smarter or improve cognitive functions. Dr Tsang.
Other ways to improve brain health.
Exercises:- Exercise is good for brain health .during exercise nerve cells release protein called as neurotrophic factor .BDNF brain derived neurotrophic factor .it promotes neural health .exercise produces protective effects to brain.
Omega 3 fatty acids:- omega 3 fatty acids are very beneficial for brain health. Animal derived omega 3 fatty acids are more helpful. DHA an omega 3 fat us component of brain and retina.so it improve brain .
Sleep:- sleep is very helpful in attaining mental health .sleep removes blinders and help reset your brain.
Coconut oil feeds brain and prevents brain atrophy .
Vit D. :-vit D receptors increase nerve growth in brain .
