A.callus is an area if thickened area formed as the result of friction , pressure or any other means .mostly callus develop on the meet due to frequent walking and incorrectly fitted shoes .
The epidermis will not pain because the outer epidermis is contained with the dead cells .The keratinocytes in outer epidermis are dead.
IT will not bleed because it does not contains blood vessels. Epidermis lacks blood vessels. It gets nutrients by the process of diffusion .

If you are bleeding it means that you have crossed the epidermis and have pricked the dermis. DERMIS the layer after epidermis contains blood vessels. It means your dermis is exposed and so it bleeds .
