Parents of a 3-year-old boy noticed that their son was walking “on his toes”, had a waddling gait, fell frequently, had difficulty getting up again, and was not able to run because of the difficulty in lifting his knees. At age five, there was progressive muscular weakness and atrophy. Weakness of the trunk muscles led to increased lordosis and a protuberant abdomen. He was able to speak clearly and the muscles of his face functioned normally. At age 9, he was confined to a wheelchair.

Muscular dystrophy the above mentioned condition the patient is suffering from . The disease is progressive which gradually invade the normal healthy muscle cells , actually the normal protein for muscle building is get disturbed by the abnormal gene mutation which finally results this mercyless disorder.
Multiple sclerosis:Chronic inflammatory disease of autoimmune system, main features of the condition are demyelination and axonal loss. It commonly affects young adults and a rare occurrence in children or younger than 18 years of age. most commonly seen in the group of people of the age 20-40years.
Myasthenia gravis :This involves the disease of neuromuscular junction ,drooping of eyelids ,difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in speech are most commonly seen features.but, this type of features are not seen in chidren of this age group.The disease may range from mild to severe. In some cases, symptoms are so less visible that no treatment is reqiured. Moderately severe cases, with the treatment, people can continue with his work and may live independently.
Polio:It is the infectioneous disorder that involves the weakness of the muscles.There is
the symptoms are visible with fever and vomiting which is not present in the above mentioned condition
