Question

Use the Guiding Principles document provided in the main menu. Select 3 guiding principles and explain how they can be applied to the urinary system. For each of them, provide specific examples of structures or physiological processes that exemplify the principle.

Please provide 3 detailed paragraphs thanks!

Guiding Principles of A&P

• Cells form the founda7on of body structure and func7on

• The body is organized into a hierarchy of increasing complexity

• Body systems are func7onally integrated

• Structure and func7on are closely related

• Rela7vely stable internal condi7ons are maintained despite changing external condi7ons

• Informa7on flow coordinates body func7ons

• Energy input is needed to sustain life

Explanation / Answer

1. Body systems are functionally integrated.

Each organ system of body perform their specific functions and also work together with another system to maintain homeostasis. For example for the water control balance cardiovascular, urinary and lymphatic system work together in integrated manner. If the water level increases then for the regulation of water balance urinary system producers more dilute urine with higher water content in order to help eliminate the excessive water in body which was increased by cardiovascular and lymphatic system( transport fluid throughout the body).

In this way, cardiovascular system lymphatic system and urinary system work in integrated manner.

2. Body is organised into a hierarchy of increasing complexity.

Cell is the smallest and independent functional unit of Living Organism. Almost all functions of Human Physiology are performed in cells. In urinary system glomerular, endothelial cells, podocytes cells, squamous epithelial cells, intra glomerular mesangial cells, juxtaglomerular cells are some kind of cells which maintains The functioning of complete urinary system. Some of these cells combine to form tissues which perform a specific function switches epithelial tissue able to accommodate large volume of urine. Some of these tissues perform together and composed an organ switches urinary bladder which performs to store and excrete urine via urethra.

Organs perform together to form organ system such as two Kidneys, to you later, bladder, nerves and urethra perform an integrated fashion as urinary system.

3. Input energy is needed to sustain life.

Most important function of kidney and urinary system is to eliminate waste products from body and regulate blood pressure and production of erythropoietin which control red blood cell production in bone marrow. All these processes need energy to be performed.this energy comes from food that we take. By breakdown of this food, vital nutrients are transported to each body organs according to their functions.so energy is very ipmortant to sustain life.
