Explanation / Answer

Repressed memories are referred to as the memories that have been blocked in an attempt to keep away the associated pain as well as trauma. These memories have been blocked unconsciously. It has been stated that through the individual would not be recalling the memory, it would still be affecting the individual on a subconscious level.

It has been argued by most of the psychologists that these would be as a result of false memories that have been made as there have been blending of real memories and influences from the outside. Also, it is said that differentiation of false memories and repressed memories are not always possible.

Hence, the father is not guilty, unless evidences obtained.
