Explanation / Answer

A.He tells the demon that he doesn't believe the demon was inside the jar.

In the story, demon is said to have been trapped in a jar under the sea for thousand of years. Filled with wrath and frustration of not being freed by any one for so long, once he is freed by the fisherman, the demon rewarded him by allowing the fisherman to choose his way of dying. The fisherman pleaded him that he didn't wanted to die. To avoid this, he challenged the demon's ego by saying it was not possible for him to get trapped in the jar and that the demon is lying. To prove himself right, he went back in the jar. This is how fisherman saved himself.
