In today's society, you can think of many aspects that can be replaced by technology. Workers have been replaced with robots in factories for many years now, trains are automated, and cars are parked automatically. What are some aspects of society that should not be replaced by computers even if their algorithms are relatively simple to model? Why? Justify your answers with examples and reasoning. Comment on the postings of at least two classmates. When looking at the answers of others, try to play devil's advocate and suggest why such solutions wouldn't be that bad after all.

Explanation / Answer

It's true that machines can replace humans in many activities, but I believe that we do not want to replace our child rearing with machines. You can program a robot to feed and change a babies' diapers. However, doing so, the child would lose the social aspect of human interaction and may develop at a slower pace.
