There are two parts to this assignment: 1) The concept map, and 2) the summary paper.

To investigate the evolution of business, you will create a timeline or concept
map.

Select five major events throughout history that have changed business.
You need to select at least one event from each of the following eras:
Post Civil War, Pre-WWII, Post WWII, and the 21st Century. You
can choose an additional era or select two events from one of the
same eras.

For each of these events, you need to provide an explanation of the event
and how it affected a change.   Also, provide a summary of the
purpose of the business. Has the purpose of business changed
over time? If so, how and why?

Use the above items in BOLD as headings in the paper, after the title
page and abstract page. Provide a list of your resources. If you used
a website, include a link with the date you retrieved the link. If you used
any articles, books, etc., include the title, the author, the publisher, the
publication year.

Explanation / Answer

Lets start here from post civil war, the major war distruction happened in south region whereas north region was not affected so much. An important part of tremendous ecomic growth is Innovations. At that time in US many scintistcs registered there ideas and got patents from patent registration authority.After the civil war the rate of registration of patents increased tremendously. In 1898 more than 45000 pantents are issued.

Now here we will take one event on innovation and will see how it affected the business.

In 1876 Alexander graham bell patented telephone.In 1885 the American telephone and telegraph company was formed consolidating all the bells patents.By 1895 there was 310000 telephones in US. The product was new in market and welcomed by country. Telephone usage increased for every type of communivation whether formal informal.Many innovations happened in that product and upto this day it is continously going on. We can say a drastic change in communication technology is made through teephone.

Second event

The second industrial revolution

the second industrial revolution generally recognised as the period between 1870 and 1914. this revolution took local communities and their new products out of the shadow of large reaginal agricultural based economies which was assisted by new labor forces and production techniques . during the revoluation innovations in transportation such as roads steamboats the eerie canal and notebly railroads linked distant priviously isolated communties together.

for the first time good from american interior could be shipped directly to the atlantic, and vice versa. being able to ship products great distances transformed the nature of economic activity in United States.

The third event happened in pre world war II was the great depression constitued main important economic event in US. The effects of war was far reaching and more drastic to influance entire business enviornment.American industry was revatilised by the war as many sectors by 1945 were sharply oriented to defense production or towards an Atomic energy. The wars rapid scintific and technological changes continoued and created permanent need of innovation amoung the country.

After the WW2 the US undergone phenominal economic growh, the brough back the days of prosperity and US formed its position the worlds richest country. The growth had many different sourses. Mainly automobile industry was responsible for it. As the number of vehicals produced between 1946 to 1955.

Secondly the mergers were become so frequently between major corporations that led them to grow up tremwndously overseas.

While in 21 Century we will take to study the business model of Uber that has changed the business concept of using simple service with an innovative way.The company formed in 2009. The company started offering rented vehicals which could be operated by website, call, and mobile app. The focus to provide service through tech oriented, same feel of service, and with a similler way of maintaining standerds.

With no doubt the purpose of doing business has changed over time. Firstly it was limited up to maximise the profits and wealth of shareholders, the core is only to strech as max money as organisations can. but now a days its has like to serve the society to make it a better place. Moved towards move conveniance of customers, awaring about global challenges which are leading to make eco friendly products.
