Question
3. Case study: You are an Accounting Manager for a large accounting firm. You have just received a major complaint from a private school. They have left several messages for you and you haven’t received their messages. You try to find their file which was archived and you also can’t locate the file. You wonder if this the file should have been saved electronically to prevent this run around – you have searched everywhere and its taken two hours of your time. The administration staff don’t have the right attitude to help you – in fact they have said that they are too busy and can’t keep up with their own work so ‘no way am I helping you’. You need to report what has happened to the Chief Executive Officer. You also want to make suggestions of what changes are required.

The Chief Executive Officer
Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that I recently recieved a complaint from a private school regarding their messages not being recieved and addresed by us. So I decided to analyse their file stored in the archives section. However, I was unable to locate the file, which drove me to ask for the assistance of the administration staff. But they lacked the right attitude towards this situation.
Instead of helping me they chose to carry on with their daily work. Due to this the file's status is still missing. Please advise the administration staff to help in this situation.
I would like to suggest that instead of storing the files physically, we can opt for electronic storage. This process would save company its space, time and energy.
Thank you,
Regards,
