Your discussion should include:

Pick a (American) product that you use on a regular basis, and then identify two (2) brands within that product category: one brand that competes on price, and one brand that competes based on features and benefits. (For example, if you were to pick a product category such as shampoo, you might identify Suave as a brand that competes on price, and Paul Mitchell as a brand that competes based upon features and benefits.)

Give a brief (1 paragraph) description of each brand, including links to their web sites.

Conduct an actual price comparison on the two brands that you have identified in at least two different stores. Report where you compared the prices and what the pricing was in each location. Were there any sales or discounts available that affected the pricing for these products?

Since value is the ratio of perceived benefits to price, which product is the better “value” in your opinion? Why?

Explanation / Answer

First product that I used this Apple iPhone which is definitely based on the features its benefits. Identification of the price on Apple is very simple as apple does not provide any kind of discounts on its products. If any Apple iPhone is newly launched then there is no discount in any of the iPhones as they are mostly available in their own store. After another model of iPhone gets launch than the third party services such as online retailers Amazon and other retailers provide discount but offline retailers still does not provide any kind of discount on the prices of Apple iPhone.
Second product from the similar category I choose is Google pixel. Google pixel is a flagship Android phone made by Google to compete with the Apple. This product has slightly different pricing strategy as different stores provide discount on Google pixel according to their availability. Pricing differences are not much but google pixel does have possibilities of getting a discount in its initial days they are also different offers running on this is specific mobile phone.
Due to the extreme network of apple and better pricing strategies including different plants with the careers make it a better option for buying in United States of America. Definitely Apple has a better value as a product of us.
