Begineer to play framework and exciting to learn it and wanted to do a play program here but got stuck which is : as an example with the Play Framework, let's say that a user wishes to view a description of a restaurant menu item. This item is represented by a number and we wish to pass this number in a URI that will translate to an action that will be provided by a controller. What is an example of what changes need to be made to Play framework files to allow this to happen. Please a snippets of code and which files would be modified with the snippet would be really great! If thats possible!. Also, with Include a basic idea of how the final view would be presented to the user.

Here am posting the code for u r query please check and try

i will give descrption and idea about that menu Item

first in database create 1.item ID,2.item Name 3.Description

first write all menus with numbers in one page and give one control side in that (name as Item DESC)that is in one page

second here we have item ID for that create two text fields one is for select the number and another is to display the description and put one button after text fields .

enter all details of items and their description in the Database.after that put one button as ITEM.it will display all the items what we have in database.

here in that page for every item side put one button as description u will get what u want .

fourth u r asking entering the no of item u want description

for that create on txt field and button --- By clicking that button u will get description in another textfield box(PUT ANOTHERE TEXT FIELD).
