This lab will include a design element that you are to complete before we actually use the hardware in the lab. Develop a dial plan for the network below. The dial plan must be consistent across the network meaning that users at each site dial calls the same way.
The Main Site has 6 users and has been assigned 270-753-2340-2349. The Aux Site has 5 users and has been assigned 502-472-8970-8979. The Branch Office has 7 users and has been assigned 256-923-2380-2389. You may assume that all users except the operator will be using softphones. The operator will use an ADTRAN IP-706 phone.
You must provide the following:
1. A description of the call types used on the network.
2. Number CompleteTemplates (Dial Plan Templates)
3. A Class of Service Plan
4. A Description of required user accounts.
Requirements
- 2 digit dialing within a site
- 3 digit dialing between sites on private network
- 9 + 10 digit dialing to LEC
- 1 + 9 + 10 digit dialing to IXC
- IXC link shared by all sites through the Main Site
- 911 routes to LEC @ each site
- Only executives in the company may dial long distance.
- The first number assigned to each site is the operator
- The 2nd & 3rd numbers are assigned to executive
- The last assigned number is used as a lobby phone and may only dial extensions within the local site.
