Office for Mac 2011 Home & Student problem

All of a sudden every time I open any Word or Excel file in Office for Mac 2011 Home & Student I get the following messages, and sometimes more than one of them. "Please upgrade the Office Database"...(I don't even have Outlook with this version of Office).

Also, when I look at the "About" window in any Office app where I used to see my name above the product ID at the bottom it now says "unknown".

This is really weird. I suppose I could completeely uninstall Office for Macc and then reinstall it, but hoping theere is sometthing a little easier that will fix this. Thanks.

Explanation / Answer

Look in Document the Documents Folder, for Microssoft User Data Fold (MUD) with all Office Applications quit. Then Move the MUD Fold to Trsash (just for test) Now open Word and see if it will be rebuilt. (If so) If it rebuilds okay Empty Trassh. If not go to Trash Control Clicck on it and choose put Back.
