Unmanned aircraft systems or sometimes has called as drone is an unmanned aircraft which is designed to observe as well as attack when needed.
Manned platforms are the machines which are used with the help of human and usually used in the mainstream war.
Some major Differences between manned and unmanned platforms are as follows
• Manned aircrafts have the Pilots on board and the pilots have the ability to think in the real time to deal with the current situation. In an unmanned aircraft the Pilot is far away operating the Drone from a stick which reduces the overall contact between the environment.
• Manned aircraft needs a human to be operated but unmanned aircraft does not need any human on board to be operated and to be sent in risky locations.
• Unmanned aircraft can be used where we need remote capabilities and have to maintain a safety factor for our soldiers. Manned aircraft cannot be used in the risk areas such as missile attack prone areas where we cannot risk our soldiers.
• Manned aircraft can carry much more loads of ammunition then the unmanned aircraft.
• Both of the platforms usg guided weapons but the accuracy on the unmanned platform is very higher as compared to the main platform.
• Manned platforms are widely available but unmanned platforms are not that widely available and being used only in international operations such as finding the thread or the terrorist zones.
By using the unmanned system which are more efficient as well as less risky, the system is directly rising against them and Systems. This is Pacific Technology has evolved itself in a positive way and giving out the positive result throughout. By being more cost effective and also having an ability to fly in the danger zone makes it more effective than the manned aircraft systems.
Some roles for which UAS could be used are as follows.
• Unmanned aircraft system can be used for the remote operations where a manned aircraft would be too risky to send
• It can who are at high altitude and provide aerial images which is not possible by any manned aircraft.
• Long operational are surveillance system where the Drone has to work continuously without breaking for hours is also possible and can be used by UAS.
• International operations such as observing the enemy without his consent is also possible with the UAS
