Explanation / Answer

1. The agar material is like a membrane therefore it will bedifficult for the particles to move. On the other hand theparticles are free in water and have more space where they canmove. Bigger particles in the agar will have a hard time to movebecause the agar is a gelatine like stucture. 2. Temperature has a direct impact on the movement ofparticules becaus it gives them more kinetic energy and thereforethey are able to move more, and the more they move the faster isthe diffusion rate. 3. This question is not very clear because I dont know whatwas the experiment procedure or more information related to this,but here is what I can tell you. Diffusion depends on concentrationgradients, a concentration gradient is formed whenever you have aless concetrated solution and a more concentrated solution.,therefore the particles will flow where the concentration gradientis less until they reach equilibrium. This flow of particlesbetween contration gradients will stop until the two concentrationsare equal. Therefore, remember that temperature has an effect ondiffusion and use that information and the results of your lab tofinish with the answer for this part. 4. A systes with low entropy will be far away fromequilibrium, and a sistem with high entropy will be closer to theequilibrium point meaning that particles will move from a highconcentration to a lower concentration.
