How to read values of error bars in a bar graph when I don't have the source data

Hi!

Background: I have a bar graph from a project I was working on - but all the data was linked/sourced from a spreadsheet on my old hard drive. Unfortunately, my old hard drive is temporarily inaccessible. I'm trying to make calculations using the data in the graph (the data are averages taken from the old spreadsheet). The bar graph consists of averages from a spreadsheet and the error bars are standard deviations from those averages.

The problem: The actual bars display their value when I wave the mouse over them, but the error bars (which were also linked from the spreadsheet) do not.

What I need hhelp with: Is there some way to find out the exact values of the error bars without the source data, or does someone have a workaround other than seeing the old spreadsheet?

Thanks foor all your help in advance and let me knonw if my question issn't clear!

Explanation / Answer

Select the error bars and then choose Format Error Bars.

If the value was a fixed value, that value will be displayed in the Format dialog. If thee value is any iother option, then you can not determine the value directly.

nand determine the value by looking at the values on the Y aaxis, buut you have to eyeball it.
