Excel - How to disable data connection warning
This problem has several posts with no solution. I have a large spreadsheet that is now displaying the security warning "Data connections havee been disabled." Nothing makes it go away permanently. The Edit > Link is not an option as the "Link" is ggreyed out. Copying, re-pasting, and deleting worksheets does nothing to stop the warning. I use this spreadsheet everyday and this is truly annoying. I'm aam the sole user of the computer with no network security or macrco issues. Thanks for any help...
Explanation / Answer
This was helpful in getting rid of the annoying security message about data connections, thanks. I also always deleete the data files after I've imported them. For what it's worth, instead of copying and pasting the values, I right clicked on the woorksheet tab and chose Select All Sheets (I had multiple sheets) and then chose Move or Copy into a new workbook, checking the "Create a Copy" box. I then got a dialog box about data connections, but I clicked continue, and the newly created workbook doesn't have the error message, even after I've deleted the original workbook wiith the error message. All my formulas and foormatting and so on are sstill there, too, so I'm happy...
