The retail industry in the present world needs optimization of costs and better services for efficiency. Starbucks needs RFID to regain all its customers after the recession. Some of the customers that were lost during the economic downturn started buying coffee and other products from Starbucks’ main competitors like the McDonalds. The major problems experienced by the customers are the long queues while they check out of the Starbucks Company. An RFID system which is meant to track tags attached to items will be effective in ensuring customer satisfaction and improving the quality of services.The RFID will solve the issue of long lines as it is intelligent enough to track every product that is kept in a shopping cart, hence, minimizing the time spend by the customers for their shopping.

Starbucks needs RFID to regain all its customer after the recession. Some of the customer started buying coffee and other products form Starbucks competitors like McDonalds etc.
