Determinants of job performance generally consider how an employee’s ability, motivation, and situation can influence work performance. Motivation, specifically, is a critical human behavior promising fantastic results. Motivation influences people’s action and choice of action yielding intensity, and persistence that ultimately impacts the quality of their actions (Deci & Ryan, 1985). Motivational theories also assist in explaining and understanding attainment, and failure to attain (Robins & Judge, 2013). Most importantly, it facilitates our understanding of accomplishments and success despite challenges. To this extend, how might leadership and organizations are able to make work meaningful for employees?

The leader or the management of the organization has major role in the job satisfactions and helps employees to find the meaning in their work. They will motivate the employees by giving benefits, job security , adjustable environment and other methods, which in turn improves the job performance and improve in the productivity of the organization as well as productive productive employee. The main objective of the leadership is to improve the employee performance , improve the quality in work and in product or service, increase the output and along with that bring pride of workmanship to the individual. A extremely motivating environment gives the employees sense of pride in what work they are doing. A leader or the organization can use some methods to motivate the employees and thereby makes work meaningful to them.
