Question

Scenario 2 (negative reply): You work for a digital marketing firm and one of your client sends you a complaint that their video ad which ran on YouTube was just a placeholder/dummy video and not a real advertisement. After your investigation, you found that both parties are at fault, your campaign team for not checking that the video is not a real advertisement and also the client, since they initially sent us that placeholder/dummy video and told us that they’ll send the real advertisement video later. Now the customer is demanding their money back since their advertisement didn’t run, however the company policy denies you from giving a refund since the team pushed the video provided by the customer.

Write a negative response to this scenario denying the claim. (Min 250 – Max 500 words)

Explanation / Answer

As per the video is provided by the customer our company's policy and guidelines directly deny any kind of claim made on such situations as the video was given by the customer itself and there was no final video given by the customer for airing it on TV, there is a clear fault of the customer for not providing the content. Company published content which is provided by the customer and specific advertisement was running over youTube for the given amount of time. According to the company policy there is no provision of refund if the content given by the customer is aired on YouTube or any other media platform.
As the video provided by the customer was a dummy video and later it was promised that the customer would provide final video but the customer did not provide that hence there is no liability of the digital marketing company to refund amount or to comply the damages of the customer itself. In this specific situation customer is responsible for providing providing the content which he didn't do. The specific situation directly against the customer as customer does not provide the content to be advertised over YouTube. And the company actually ran the video over YouTube for a define amount of time which was pre decided according to the contract which was decided between the two parties.
