Case Study 1: Marks) Bob is an experienced softwareengineer at arenowned software company. An analyst named Mr. John is working on a project for the defense department ofhis company, testing the software used in an airplane. Bob is the quality control manager for the software. Earlysimulation testing revealed that, under certain conditions, instabilities would arise causing plane to crash. The software was debugged and modified accordingly to fix the problems uncovered by the initial tests and hence, the software passed all thesimulation tests after the modifications. Despite the above testing and debugging, Bob is still not convinced that the software is safe. He iswomied that the software may have a design flaw that can only be fixed using extensive redesigning, Bobisalso convinced that the technique applied to fix the initial problems is not up to the mark and it did not actually address the underlying problem.Explanation / Answer

Yes, the behavior of Ann is ethical according to the clause 8.07(Self) as she is not giving hospital any unfair treatment due to her shares in the Alpha Tech. She has compared all the proposal and according to her study and calculation she thinks that Alpha tech has provided the best proposal among all. She has taken the conclusuion by being unbiased and regardless of her share in Alpha Tech. So, she is not giving any unfair treatment becuase of any irrelevant prejudices.
