The main problem with this approach of team member. Because he might be the manager of bookstore but he doesn't care for the things he asked i.e. about data dictionary objects. Because clients will give just the requirements that they want and give you some inputs . As a analyst we need to get all these or we need to identify all these things . If the client is fed up with your service there is chance to stop the project and may proceed with other one or otherwise they doesn't consider for the future development projects etc like this so many risks will be there.
The problems with this team member approach is first and foremost is to irritate th manager. He might not asks about these much detail level because some people may not now or some one will be not interested because they gave the project to you so that you come up with the model and plan then I will ask you for the modifications I need like that. As a system analyst he might no go to that detail to the customer rather than analysing .

In this sitaution I will explain to my team mate to not to irritate the client by asking such details. First I make him clear with the doubts. Then I will suggest him to gather information first I suggest him to prepare the plan and then go to the customer and make a normal discussion by showing your plan and requirements then ask him politly whther he has any idea or plans furthur how he wanted to be like that. then in that case clients only opens up and make necesarry changes to the plan and will guide you through their plan of system need to be.
