Without trust, privacy and confidentiality become meaningless. The most vital resource in a health care organization is the staff. The CEO must assign responsibilities to both line and staff employees on the basis of capability. The CEO must recognize the differences and needs of each individual, develop their strengths, and provide guidance in times of weakness. Like a conductor in a symphony orchestra, the CEO must produce organizational harmony among the staff. The CEO sets the tone for building trust in the organization. Therefore, it is imperative that he or she be attuned to the needs of those in the front line, those employees who conduct the day-to-day business of the organization and support its mission.

Jack, the newly appointed CEO of XYZ, has been working for 2 years in his position. Staff members have criticized his physical absence and his once-a-year appearance at employee luncheons. Except for the occasional memorandum drafted by other staff members, many employees at XYZ have become discouraged and distrustful of the top-tier vice presidents who were appointed by Jack to conduct business for XYZ. Employees are beginning to leave, and business is going elsewhere.

  1.   Discuss why the CEO must earn the respect and trust of his or her staff. Discuss why:

  2.   What should Jack do to build trust in the organization?

1: CEO is the lead position for a company and he is the face of the company to public as well as for the resources. He should lead the company by example. The employees can stay in a company only if they rewarded properly in terms of proper motivation and value addition CEO should be in a position to monitor the operational activities ,understand the resource requirement to keep the system alive and more vibrant in positive way . This will bring respect to employees and they become more committed to the work and become more focused. Trust builds through proper communication and active participation.

2 Trust is the fundamental for all relation To stay stronger and to be more committed towards it trust is inevitable. This can develop only through being more focused and being more actively involved in all activities. The person should be able to lead the system and understand the gaps and keep the resource more intact . There should be harmkny mutual respect and understanding between all the networks associated to it.

2: Jack should spend more time in team building exercise and he should lead the organization from the front. Proer communication should be there from him about organisational objective and should motivate employees to be a part of it. He should address the concern from employees and should resolve their problem in rational way . Jack should build his network more stronger so that heirarchy based system become more focused to manage it.
