Explanation / Answer

Ans 1) Difference between Public and Private IP address are as follows:-

Public IP address

Public IP address are such type of IP address that accessed over internet and this work same as the Postal address. We got anything by post in our homes same is the process of the Public IP address over computer. This is very useful process used in WAN.

Example for Public IP address is

202.60.23.1

Private IP address

Private IP address is the Such type of IP address which is not directly connected to the internet such typeof IP address are also used over internet. The condition over which such type of IP address is used is when we have multiple computer in our home and we want to connect all the computer through private IP address to address each computer. In such case our router gets the public IP address and each computer connect with Private IP address. 192.168.0.3 is the example of such IP address.

Ans 2) Computer Networks generally used four type of addresseing which are as follows:

a) Physical address

The communicating nodes which is used physical layer is known as Physical address.Every NIC(Network Interface Card) used physical address. these NIC's has unique physical address which is used to communicate uniquely between physical and data link layer.

b) IP address

IP address is used to communicate over internet worldwide. without IP address communication over internet is not possible.

c) IP protocol

Protocol means set of rules. Rules are very important to in IP address to run the process of communication.

d) Port Number

This is also very important. Port number is a 16 bit unsigned integer. UDP and TCP used port number in their Header.

Ans 3) The question asked over how the networks what is its configuration etc.

Ans 6) VLAN or Virtual Private Network is a group of devices or LAN's. VLAN works in Data link layer. VLAN they are configured tocommunicate as they attatch with the same line even they are located on different LAN segments.

Ans 7) VLAN is very popular this is used where we want to install large number of computer and wandt a private ip address between them or want to connect with private ip address.

Ans 8) STP stands for the spanning Tree protocol. STP is used to make loop free topology in the network. The main function is used to prevent Bridge loop.

Ans 9) STP fails due to some of the reason mentioned below:

Each link between two parties is bidirectional. If A directly connects to B, if A sends some data or packet it will received by B and vice-versa.

Each Bridges who is running STP is able to regularly receive and transmit STP Bridge Protocol Data.

Ans 10)

Identify the loop

Actual diagram of topology and their correponding port number.

STP configuration detail

Ans 11)

DHCP which stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. DHCP is a clientserver protoco which is used to provide four type of information for a computer which is for the first timl.DHCP is a advance version of BOOTP

Ans 12)

VPN which stands for the Virtual Private Network .VPN is a ver popular technology which is used by the large comapnies or organization that uses the internet worldwide but want to keep privacy in their internal communication.

Most important benefit of VPN is.

VPN is a such type of network which is private but virtual. It is said to be private because it keep privacy or gurantee privacy.

Ans 13)

NAT which stands for the Network address Translation. This is another one of the most important technology which maps between Private public IP address and at the same time it support virtual private networks

Ans 14)

DNS stands for Domain Name System. DNS protocol can be used in different platforms. In computer network DNS is divided into 3 sub category

a) Generic Domain

b) Countery Domain

c) Inverse Domain

Ans 15) There are different type of topology

like Star, Bus Ring Mesh etc

Star Topology

Computer are connected with one cable each other

Disadvantage

One fault occur whole network will be destroyed

Bus Topology

it is easy to setup and easy in implementation.

less costly

Disadvantage

Not easy to isolate faults

Ring Topology

Configuration makes it easy to isolate faults

Disadvantage

Heavy dependency of wire.

Mesh Topology

Very Popular and better than other point to point connectivity

Disadvantage

Administration of mesh network is hard.

Ans 16)

Naming convention keeps our account organised and well developed and allow us to access approperiately
