Scenario: I would like to explain this with one instance where I found media has been negatively influencing the society. When I saw a news where I a woman was molested when she was walking down the streets around 11:30 PM in the night. Rather than media expressing the concern over the cruel men (animal) who has done this, media has been portraying that such incident has happened because the woman has gone out alone in the late night.
1) I find it difficult to ignore or forget because, in the modern generation where 24/7 working conditions are evolved, it is highly not practical for a woman not to be alone in the late night's scenarios. Rather than addressing the concern, media is diverting the problem.
2) The compelling reason for the negative influence over the society is such communication from the media will divert other women to start thinking backward and will not be bold and brave to come forward and face the challenges.
3) Names that I give to the feelings this experience with media is, it is "Irresponsible", "incapable" and "corrupted"
4) Yes, it does provoke anger, shame, self-doubt about our governance and system. Certainly mistrust about the particular media is very high.
