This article is about the Russians hacking into a NSA and taking a tool which is blamed on Kaspersky Labs (which provide antivirus software) because it is a Russian Firm which may be or may not be working under Russian government. US officials bans the use of Kaspersky Software for federal agencies as it is be a big security concerns .The NSA declining to comment on this.

Yes I am pretty sure that this could happen if the Kaspersky is secretly working for Russian government or some Russian government agents working in Kaspersky Labs.

If I am working for U.S.A government I will consider for not using the Kaspersky Software for security concerns but if I am a regular citizen what harm will it do to me? nothing

I am using the Norton Antivirus, because it has many features and pretty secure and provide flexibility, it comes with a pc utility tool which tune up my pc

I found out about this by searching the internet for the best antivirus that provides all type of security including malwares, internet security.
