Explanation / Answer

5.Answer below

Given n=4 panels and lower limit a=3 and higher limit b=6

In order to find test we need find width of each trapezoid using following formulae

x=(b-a)/n=(6-3)/4=3/4=0.75

Now the test points between 3 and 6 are

x1=3

x2=x1+x=3+0.75=3.75

x3=x2+x=3.75+0.75=4.50

x4=x3+x=4.50+0.75=5.25

x5=x4+x=5.25+0.75=6

So the answer is 3.0,3.75,4.50,5.25,6

6.Answer below

S(1)=3

S(5)=10+S(4)=31

S(4)=8+S(3)=21

S(3)=6+S(2)=13

S(2)=4+S(1)=7

So Answer is 31
