Project: Recruitment Process in Organization
Project Overview
Purpose and Objectives: To prepare a software module that can help in the recruitment process in the organizations. This project would reduce the time for manual screening, scrutinizing the candidates thereby increasing the efficiency by 80%. Previously the recruitment process initials i.e. screening, scrutinizing as per skills, choosing the appropriate method of recruitment and selection methods were taking longer period i.e. in months. By this software module, the process can be fastened to 3-4 days. We are pursuing the project as we have an advantage of the resources, required knowledge, and skills
Project Deliverables: A database able to store millions of person’s data, the software program that would screen and scrutinize the right candidates, provide a platform in which online tests could be conducted, an extendable and customized feature for searching the top candidates from several websites excluding referrals or company database.
Project Risks
Th project time and budget constraints are the 2 major risks that could hamper the quality and features of the tool. Managing the project from scratch with the required design, development and testing team will be tedious. As simultaneously the designers, developers and testers are working on multiple projects, the quality may hamper.
Project Schedule
The client has asked to complete the project in 1 month which seems actually impossible. Although our company got fled away by the higher amount of money for speeding up the process from 2 months to 1 month is risky. In the first 2 weeks, the design will be completed and next 3 weeks it will take for development and 1 week for testing which requires a minimum of 6 weeks without any internal or external problems.
Project Budget
The budget (estimate) associated with the project for 2 months was 15 lakhs but after negotiation and speeding up, the time has reduced to 1 month and the amount increased to 25 lakhs. The value was determined by time estimation, resource estimation and required skills estimation.
Communication Management
Daily updates, constant touch with the technical leads, reviewing the project at each week can help in better communication. After project review, weekly status emails and bi-weekly status meetings and improvement programs can be scheduled to fasten up the process.
Tracking and Status Updates
The project will be successful if we do not find any critical errors in the system and if at all any errors are there they should be minor errors. After the project, the quality assurance teams thoroughly checks the software as per the desire and whether it is producing the required output.
