Explanation / Answer
Business process reengineering proposal:
Leadership management: Is a structural process in the organisation
I have chosen leadership as a topic to be relooked at and which has scope for improvement. Hence business process reengineering proposal as below
1. Problem identification: The problem identified here is issues with the leadership in the organisation. A recent employment engagement survey proved that the employees were not happy with their leaders and hence the organisations brand image was in danger.
2. Existing leadership policies and process: The leaders were given a tight target to achieve within the specified time limits. With that being a tremendous pressure the core duty of a leader to look into this team members development was missed out
3. Data collection: Now we need exact data to support the reengineering process. So we already have the employee engagement survey results which shows the clear picture
4. New processes: When looked into the new processes two important things were
- hiring and training of the leaders
- to convince the management to change the leader's role which is to emphasize on people development.
- Here we bring in the top management
5. Implementation: Once approved by the top management the new process became policies and hence every leader had to look into his people first. The result was the engagement survey improved the next time.
6. Feedback : A regular feedback was taken from the employees
