I would recommend gain-sharing plan as an in charge of SAS for the employees working in it. The gain sharing plan would be entitled to the particular set of people for achieving the productivity targets, cost reduction goals, skill enhancement, security, quality and on time service parameters. The improvement in these parameters with respect to measurement of the initial conditions recorded would entitle an individual for a financial reward and recognition. The communication and role of each individual is screened and reviewed periodically and on the basis of the performance the monetary rewards are given to an individual on the basis of the scorecard of his performance. As an incharge I have chosen gain sharing instead of profit sharing as a company profit sharing evenly over the employees has a little impact on motivating and boosting the morale and driving an individual for performing to increase company’s profit. Some low performers also enjoy the same benefits of profit sharing of the company as shared by the key performers. I would advocate work from home culture .The working from home suits both an employee and an employer. An employee saves his time and cost from travelling to the office and remains energised as compared to office job as there is no fatigue. The quality time, focus and devotion to the work increases as the time is saved from getting ready for office, selection of clothes and grooming .Thus the employees which work from home are more productive if their work is linked to the targets and strong systems are in place to monitor and measure their outcome and results .The working from home improves work-life balance since work can be done along with the household chores. The employees least require leaves to burn their stress out with their families for outings ,shopping etc .The work from home saves the resources of the employer like power , infrastructure, parking , office space , refreshments etc .By providing laptops and internet devices and other gadgets an employee can operate from home with virtual office. The non productive meetings, gatherings and office politics are weeded out. The interaction with an employee and his superiors can be done over the internet. The best manpower resources over the world can be hired without any restrictions of the geographical divides and barriers. The attrition level of the workforce would be reduced as the employees would feel satisfied with the job and employees remain loyal towards the companies.
