PAGE FRAME
0-----7
1-----8
2-----9
3-----4 Please explain the answer.
Explanation / Answer
We can get the PAGE FRAME for page3 as 4....forthe page table given (last line of page table) We know that the pages and page frames are of size512bytes The data of third pages lies in the page frame 4. The address of the starting word in page3 is equal to the addressof the starting address in page frame 4. Therefore the offset of first word in page 4 is 000000000[since it is the starting word] [9 zeros since 512 bytes can be represented using 9bits] now to get the physical address we have to append theaddress of page frame 4 to the left of offset the address of page frame 4 is 100 now the physical address of first word in page3 is: = (address of page frame 4) + (offset of first word in page frame4) = 100000000000 =0x800 (in hexadecimal)
