Step 2: Review the basic Linux commands used to create a treestructure.
Step 3: Reinforce your understanding of the Linux-based treestructure.
Step 4: Distinguish between navigating to a parent, child, andsibling directories in Linux.
Step 5: Utilize the Linux (vi) editor to append, insert, yank,put, and delete text in a file.
Step 6: Create files and directories, identifying the columns ofthe output of the Is –I command.
Step 7: Utilize the sort command to sort data.
Step 8: Utilize the cut and diff commands to manipulate text ina file.
Step 9: Utilize the grep command to search for data within afile and use the find command to search for file names inLinux.
Step 10: Utilize the redirection and pipe symbols in Linux.
Step 11: Utilize the Linux Wildcard symbols.
Step 12: Practice utilizing the sort, grep, and awkcommands.

If you are on dial-up, it will take a long time to load thesefiles, dial-up not recommended. 1st download the vmplayer and install, 2nd download the fedorafile. If you click on the VM, that is saved to your desktop, in thecenter of it after opening is a file that will run the Linuxprogram. When it opens it will give you the instructions of how to set up a user name and password. To get to the command prompselect applications, accessories, then terminal, and from there youwould complete the lab.
