Question

Lisa wanted to have her antique table resurfaced. She called for a number of contractors who specialize in this kind of work and received bids ranging from $500 to $700. She accepted a bid from Frank who offered to do the work for $485.
After Frank finished the table he asked Lisa for an additional $15 because he made a mistake with the initial price he quoted. He indicated that he could not possibly have completed the work for less than $500. Lisa, however only paid Frank $485. If Frank sues Lisa for the extra $15, who will prevail? Please explain.

Explanation / Answer

As Lisa paid the amount agreed mutually Frank will not have any stand against Lisa and Lisa will eventuall prevail. Frank might not have any chance as it is his mistake not to calculate properly. He cannot do anything legally .Hence Lisa has the upper hand.
