The traffic of an early business computer network and scientificacademic network differ in the information that they access. Thebusiness computer networks were used for the storage andinformation retrieval. Its traffic contains information. And, thescientific academic networks were used to share resources andexchange data. Its traffic contains resources and data. Scientificnetworks used a standard procedure to use networks to share dataand use remote computers to carry out large computations. They usedto share and access different supercomputers.
But today, due to invention of various new systems andtechnologies, no such difference can be seen between the twosystems. Through the Internet any network can use, share orretrieve any kind of information or data or resources.
