Options Menu: Forum The Container Store is rated one of the best companies to work for in America. It has been rated no. 2 and no. 1 on the Fortune "Best Companies to Work For" list. This is remarkable for a retail company that sells containers rom very small to very large for organizing your home or workplace. The Container Store's hiring philosophy is quite simple. They believe that one great employee is worth three good employees and one good employee is worth three average employees. Thus, one great employee is worth nine average employees! As a result they are willing to pay a premium (100 - 150% above market) to get the best employees. My questions to you are as follows:
1. How do you feel about this as a hiring approach? Does it make sense?
2. At a dermatologist place of work, what HRM practices do you see employed in the areas of hiring and others that help the organization be successful?
3. If the organization isn't successful, do you think it has anything to do with the lack of effective HRM practices? Which ones and why?
3. If you could speak directly to the organization's chief executive officer about improving HRM practices, what would you recommend?

1.container's store hiring philosphy is fair enough and its unique .Employees which is hired in container's store must be great which is very difficult to find and attract an employees who is great.company is very selective in choosing employees.company wants to pay good amount of salary to one great employee inspite of distributing same salary with three good employees. Compnay's thinking is that best employees can produce best result.they are as productive as three employees.
2)At a dermatologist place of work I will check employee should possess complete knowledge of dermatologist .He should be perfect in his field.
He must have good experience in the branch of dermatology . I will hire a person who can diagnose the problem of patient and prescribed him goof medicines.
He must be loyal with his work.he must be very responsible towards hid work because his work wants his concern.
-He must have good communication skills .
3) Top most thing that must be do is taken cared of an employees ,ask and understand thier problems HRM must understand employees are the asset for an organisation if thier morale wilm get down automatically organidation will start vanish .
-By any mean organisation can not afford to loose thier employees .Employees are hidden asset for then.
-HRM must check time to time employees are motivated enough to achieve thier goal if they will achieve their goadl than automativally company's goal wilm achieve.
HRM should arrange trainnong programs for employees so if there is any changes in technology company will not left behind becuase wi be welk trainned.
4)Recommedation about HRM PRACTICES are as follows:-
Special focus must be given in recruitment and selection. If one wrong employee get enter in to organtisation he can spoil other employees or his peer group as well.
-Proper trainning must be given before starting live work so that he understand the work well.
-Involvement of employess are very important in any project so that they feeling of belongingness and feel as own work.once employees get that feeling than he wilk never be demotivated.
