Startegic planning is a long term plan which has clear objectives and goals. This strategy arrives through various simulations, futuristic models and company requirement to place themself in the market on a bigger picture. Thus strategic planning is more organised and more precised while compared to funcsiotnal where it has limited scope on objectives. Functional human resource is purely based on various domains and managing the resources based on the set of key responsbilities, targets.

Startegic human resource is an evvolved one in human resource management which has futurisic approach . It incorporates human resource goals into every domain and aligned that to organisation goal. External and Internal parameters are included in designing strategic planning for the same. Market trends, competitors movement, economical social and political factors are incorporated in strategic human resource .This includes training and development, retaining employees, cross functional knowledge, business outlook,enriching values, grooming leaders and globalisation effect.
