For this week's response paper, you may rely less on the reading assignment and more on the viewing assignment. View a feature-length documentary of your choosing. After viewing, write a short review on the film focusing on the depiction of "truth" in the documentary. Example - did the director give all sides to the topic/story? Was the message persuasive and effective? Was the editing manipulative to the audience? Was your opinion/thoughts about the topic changed as you watched? What elements of film form are evident in the film? I have taken example of documentry of leonardo dicaprio named BEFORE THE FLOOD.

The documentray covers all angles for the problem faced on rapid climate change and the Industries that are catering to it, government view to Individual observations during the world tour etc.

The documentary received overwhelming response from the viewers and organizations associated with environmental safety as it was very effectively communicated that its not that climate is changing but how it is affecting all across the globe. While the editing was not looking manuplative as world leaders like Obama came over it and talked boldly about the issue.

While talking about the documentary, it was very reliable to its core as the shots taken were of reality rather than any setup for shooting. It is developed over a period of time. It consists of all the aspects of climate change and all the possible solutions that one can bring in. Leonardo travelled to many countries, identified the problems into the systems, discussed the initiatives taken by government officials on possible solutions etc.

This changed the mindset of people towards the climate change from just raising your voice to participating a possible solutions available these days. It is thus very reliable to the core as it has covered from very basic to very critical factors contributing to the climate change. It has spur the individual behavior towards climate changes.

Also documentary highlights the point of carbon tax, the countries producing beyond given point of carbon should be taxed and thus it has been a great solution that countries are coming forward to take up.
