"Not me, " replied Sandra. "I like the Six Sigma approach". "I'm not going to use either of them," said Juan. Total Quality System is a philosophy that involves everyone in the organization in a continual effort to improve quality and achieve customer satisfaction. Hence with Total Quality Management in place, the Organization works together to guarantee Quality services to all its stakeholders. For this, it may use various tools such as Six Sigma which is a statistical program undertaken by the Organization for the process improvement which, I think, is the best approach for promoting continual improvement. Six Sigma has six standards that is set to reduce defects to 3.4 per million, thereby helping in identifying and mitigating any variances in the system. It is a customer-centric approach to cater the requirements of the end-users. The process starts with defining a problem pertaining to the ongoing process, measuring the same against the current performances, analyze such measurements to undertake the root-cause analysis, improving the variances with various innovative approaches and control the same by monitoring the performances.
Few benefits of Six Sigma have been as under:
· It helps the Company to identify the errors much in time and steps are taken to mitigate the same. Further, it makes a conscious effort to almost reduce the occurrence of such errors.
· Six Sigma has highly proven beneficial to the company as it has been able to raise customer satisfaction through offering high-quality professional services.
· It is due to the high level of error-free services that an Organization offers to its clients that in turn the clients show their strong loyalty towards the organization.
· Six sigma is a constant quality improvement process that takes place internally at the organization, thus making the employees truly efficient and thereby boosting the morale and satisfaction to a great extent. It further makes them ready to withstand in the competitive world well.
· It formulates good team building exercises by making the teams realize the importance of each other as a team and how mutual cooperation can help achieve the desired results in more harmonious and error-free way.
· It is because of such quality services that the organization offers to its business partners, that the partnership so built remains forever strong.
· Six Sigma also helps to exploit the resources available before the organization in the best possible manner thereby optimizing the utilization of is processes and services.
