Communication has changed dramatically over the past couple of decades with the advent of new technologies that can be a substitute for traditional methods such as phone conversations, written letters and face-to-face conversation. While many people claim that these have improved the quantity and timeliness of information sharing there are others who view the new communication technologies as detrimental to the process. The following two articles highlight some issues in communication that managers are currently having. After reading the articles' comment on the following prompts:

Explanation / Answer

Communication with the employees is being difficult and an issue these days faced by the managers. Managers feel uncomfortable while communicating with the employees and saying straight to them within the workplace. Various reasons where the managers feel difficulty are:- i) general communication with the employees ,

ii) fear of getting negative response on feedback iii) explaining organization's goal and directions to the employees. iv) not communicating directly rather using emails. These are the issues where the manager faces problems.

Answer- " With so much to gain,why don't leaders have feedback conversations more often? Because not all leaders are comfortable with the responsibility. The fear of hurting people's feelings and dealing with potential drama and retribution hold us back." These lines caught my attention where it shows the difficulty to communicate with the employees. And these explains why these issues exists.
