Solution:-
Q1) First, assume your place of employment has two open positions. How would you advertise the positions? What methods do you think would be the most effective?
Hiring Agency / Consultant / Third Party Recruiter : If our firm already has an existing relationship with the consultant then it'll only take a few hours to begin the recruitment process from their existing database which consists of passive job seekers as well as active job seeker. It also depends on the level of seniority of the candidate. Middle and Senior management takes longer to advertise through the consultant's sources and influencers. These positions ideally take about a 30 5 business days to filter recruits and to to broadcast targeted campaigns to them using phone calls, emails , personal meetings , etc.
Job portals like LinkedIn & Monster : Both job portal almost have similar job listing options however Linkedin also has advertising models which allow it to reach passive job seekers too which monster does not. Monster's applicants specifically go to the website to find jobs however Linkedin has a user base where users come there to read on current industry trends etc.
Employee Referral Programme : Employee referral programs could be the next best option after hiring a consultant. People tend to hang out with peers who are in similar job streams and peers who, they worked with in the previous organisation and peers with whom they went to university with.
Q2) How would you go about selecting the best candidate? What kind of advertising has been effective for you when you’ve been looking for a job?
The choice of advertising would purely depend on the type of job role for that the firm or the organisation is hiring for, If the firm is hiring manager and senior management using consultants and internal referral would be a better fit. However if the firm needs a high volume of employees at the lower level of the work force. using a job portal for advertising walk in interview may be more effective for them.
LinkedIn & Monster : The choice of these two job portals would have a wide reach, low on quality and but in quantity. Because of the wide reach of these two job portals, their reach will enable to target a young employee database . This would be a a good recruitment source for entry level jobs.
Consultant & Employee Referral Programmes : Consultants would provide a more filtered list of potential candidates. So the quality of candidates would be high whereas the quantity would be low. Targeted database of candidates and a high quality and low quantity. Which means this would save the recruitment's team time and money. This would be the most effective source for finding senior and middle management positions. Employee Referral Programmes would provide a more filtered list of candidates just like consultants, the quality would be high and the quantity would be low.

The first candidates punctuality conveys her lack of respect towards her peers and the firm's time . Her body language and posture suggest that she's giving her 100 % in the job interview and that she lacks focus and does not take the job seriously. This is a sign that she may be an impending attrition waiting to happen. Her dressing isn't professional which also conveys her seriousness towards the job role.
The second candidate is punctual, well spoken well dressed and sits upright and does not slouch in his chair and look at the interviewer with a sense of disinterest like the first candidate. The second candidate conveys seriousness towards his job role and the organisation.
