Question

Write a MATLAB program to read in a JPEG file, make the following transformations, and then display the result.
1. Determine the top 25% of the brightest pixels, and make each one 20% brighter and 5% redder.
2. Determine the bottom 25% of the darkest pixels, and make each one 20% darker.
3. Place a blue square, size 100 by 100 pixels , in the center of the image.

Brightness is the maximum value of the three color values. Changing the brightness of a pixel by a certain percentage means changing all three color values by that percentage. Note that the minimum value for a color encoding is 0 and the maximum is 255.

I am sooo confused, I really need help and this explained please
