This is a good exercise which will help you understand normal distribution and how we use it unknowingly in our day to day lives.

Since you have not given any data pertaining to the 80 flights along with the question, and I too tried pulling out some data about flight durations but unfortunately I haven't been able to get any relevant information. I trust this data is already with you.

Next, calculate the standard deviation.

You will have to do this from the raw data containing the 80 data points

Simply use the excel function =STDDEV()

Now, multiply the standard deviation by 3. These are your 3 sigma limits. Statistics tells you that over 97% of your data should fall within these limits.

You should be able to look at the histogram you've generated in excel and easily confirm the same.
