Summary: The following paper discusses the various challenges to internet of things which stores the information related and provided by the connected sensors like the air temperature and moisture levels which must be kept condfidential to the wine company and its employees with no interference from the outside world .

Problem statement:

The problem is basically to find the ways to secure the information like soil tenperature,air temperature,etc(internet f things) and make sure the the information is kept authenticated and is private so that it is accessible by only the members of the company and not by any outside world. It is important to ensure to use the best available technology to ensure security of internet of things.

Key requirements to address the problem:

The various requirements depends on the challenges faced to secure IoT.These include:

a) Security:Increased automation and digitization creates new security concerns. As a result the informaiton related to the wine can be hacked by outside world since a lot of inofmration is being shared between the company.

b)Consumer Privacy: Potential of privacy breaches.The cutomers associated with the wine company are at risk as their private information and orders might be hacked and misused,

c)Too much communication results in security threats: The security threats increase as too much communication takes place between connected servers and the program analysts .

d)Security technology degrades with time.:The existing technology degrade with time so it is important to ensure security on a daily basis.

The requirements are the new technology like firewalls,antispyware techniques to counter the above challenges and help in securing the data in the best possible way.

1) The data must be secured on a daily basis and technology must be updated regularly.

2)Implement firewalls and perform packet inspection of the data being exchanged between sensors and the information analyst so that intruders can be detected.

3)Intrusion detection systems should be deployed so that any access from outside world can be immediately taken care off and can be disconnected from the main network.

4)Data should be encrypted and kept at a secure place so that only employees can access it.

5)Strong passwords should be implemented to ensure only authenticated users can access the wine's information.

The above techniques should be deployed and a continous evaluation of security techniques should be done side by side to ensure data is kept secure and confidential.This will help information to be shared within the company only and prevent any misuse of the information.This is extremely important for a company to grow and develop products according to the customer requirements and deliver them on time.
