E-Commerce is the business done for selling and buying of goods over the internet. This is the business done without seeing the buyer and seller. This business in done quite oppasite to traditional business. Hence it has some risks and threats since this is done online only. There are many risks and threats may happen in this type of e-commerce busines.
Some of the risks and threats are:
1)lack of identity:
Both seller and buyer are doing this e-commerce business without seeing each other. This is always not good in the case of undue things if happen.
Remedy:
Better to keep the identity of both seller and buyer each other
2)lack of Better Integrity:
There is clear lack of integrity between the buyer and seller
Remedy:
The information exchaged between the buyer and seller must not be altered if any case.
3)Lack of proper authentication
This is very important from both buyer and seller point of view. Hence lack of proper authentication is one of the risks and threats in this e-business.
Remedy:
In order to maintain proper authentication, both sender and recipient must prove their identities to each other
4)non-repudiation
This is also an important parameter to be considered in the e-commerce.
Remedy:
To avoid this problem, proper proof is required that the exchanged information was indeed received.
