The first meeting of Sheldon & Leonard was very unfriendly and both were confused. They were not easily going each other because of high level of uncertainity.Reciprocacity was not developing each other in that particular scene as they have mismatch in the non verbal warmth. Gradually the uncertainity was getting reduced and they started to take the conversation in friendly mode because of their mutual liking and similarities.Information seekin has helped to make confidence between each other.
The uncertainity reduction theory is really applicable in our practical life. We as a human being have to interact with lot of people especially in work front. The first time introduction is very crucial as we get to know is there any similary or liking between each other.This can create a foundation for the relationship,.The verbal out put and warmth developed through positive thought sharing is very important for a health relationship building. Gradually the reciprocacity can be developed and this will reduce any sort of agony or uncertainities.Anticipation of future interaction can be gradually reduced through knowing each other and sharing the thoughts .Self disclousre part is also very crucial as it increases the wavelenght between both of the individuals.
